What is the Get Healthy Service?
The Get Healthy Service is a free customised program to help you reach your health goals and to help you create healthy habits. You do it from home, at a time that suits you.
The program includes six or more regular confidential coaching calls with a university-qualified health coach, who will help you set and work towards your goals. Your coach will send you emails and text messages to encourage you and remind you when appointments are coming up.
The program can support you to:
- eat healthily
- get active
- reduce the amount of alcohol you drink
- reach and stay at a healthy weight
- gain a healthy amount of weight in pregnancy
- manage your health while living with type 2 diabetes or cancer
The amount of time it takes to complete the program will vary for each person. When you finish, you can re-enrol for more coaching if need be.
“The Get Healthy Service was life-changing for me. Having a coach really helped motivate me to stop drinking. Knowing they were going to call made a difference. It felt like someone cared.” – Michael, 59, Central Coast
