Australians spend about one third of their lives at work, so being healthy at work can make a big impact on helping to reduce the prevalence of lifestyle-related chronic disease such as type 2 diabetes and heart disease.
No matter how big or small your workplace, Get Healthy at Work can help address individual, behavioural and workplace factors leading to poor health. It can also help in reducing tobacco and alcohol use or increasing physical activity and healthy eating.
Biketober Business Challenge 2020
There’s never been a better time to enjoy riding bike. It’s a great way to ensure you’re getting enough daily exercise, boost your mood and your immune system and an easy and fun way to travel from A to B while avoiding crowds.
Biketober is a fun, free competition amongst individuals and businesses in NSW, supported by Get Healthy at Work, to see which workplace can get the most staff to try riding a bike in October. There’s leaderboards to compete on and loads of prizes to win for riding and encouraging friends and colleagues to ride too.
What’s more, anyone who registers before 1 October will be in the running to win a brand new Bosch-powered e-bike worth $3,899. Click on the image below to register or find out more.
