Every year, World Breastfeeding Week highlights the health and wellbeing benefits of breastfeeding for babies and their mothers.
Breastfeeding supports good nutrition, protection against infection, poverty reduction and food security.
This year, World Breastfeeding Week is focusing on the role of breastfeeding to protect the environment, its importance for both the planet and its people.
To celebrate World Breastfeeding Week 2020 (1–7 August), the Central Coast Local Health District Breastfeeding and Infant Feeding Reference Group is running a community art competition. There were some wonderful entries!
