Why are we getting
fatter?
The reasons why so many
of us are getting overweight are complex. One reason has to do with
changes in technology. Changes have lead to a lifestyle in which we
spend more time
sitting instead of running around. Also we are eating more. There are plenty of food
choices around these days that are readily available and high in
kilojoules (energy). We are drinking more sweet drinks and portion
sizes have increased. Unless you're
burning them off, these extra kilojoules have a way of hanging around.
