Health Promoting Primary Schools

Award Scheme

1994-2005 RIP

The end has come for the five Central Coast Health Promoting School awards and signage.

For 10 years Central Coast Schools were offered the opportunity to apply for Health Promoting School Awards. Over this time many schools were recognised for their efforts in promoting health to their staff, students and parents.

Due to decreasing demand for the awards and signage along with other initiatives that have been introduced, the decision to discontinue the awards was made.

The criteria for each of the awards provides a useful guide for schools wanting to address important population health issues. The criteria can be accessed from our Health Promoting Schools archives.

Thank you and congratulations to the schools that supported the awards over the years. The Health Promotion Unit continues to work with schools through the Q4 projects, PDHPE Network, Canteen Network and other health initiatives.
