Seeding Grants 2011

The Northern Sydney Health Promoting Schools Committee (NSHPSC) invites schools located in Northern Sydney to apply for a Northern Sydney Health Promoting Schools Seeding Grant.
The NSHPSC includes representatives from health, education (government and non-government) and parent associations working in partnership to improve the health of students attending schools in Northern Sydney.

Applications Close : Friday 10th June 2011 @5.00p.m

Schools applying for grants must be located in one of the following local government areas:

Hornsby
Hunters Hill
Ku-ring-gai
Lane Cove
Manly
Mosman

North Sydney
Pittwater
Ryde
Warringah
Willoughby

Schools can apply for grants up to $1,500 in one of the following categories:
1. Physical Activity
2. Social and Emotional Health
3. Healthy Eating
4. Connecting with parents
5. Other health issue important to your school

Previous grant projects
The Northern Sydney Health Promoting Schools Seeding Grants have been awarded to a variety of government, catholic and independent schools.
Examples of projects funded have included:
         school fruit and vegetable gardens (nutrition)
         play/sports equipment (physical activity)
         social learning group (social skills improvement)
