Go Active 2 Work is an environments for health project. Its goal is to encourage and support active, healthy and environmentally sustainable forms of transport. The project focuses on active transport as a means of improving the health and well being of staff. It is being piloted within the Northern Beaches Health Service of the Northern Sydney Central Coast Area Health Service. The project has included the development of a Workplace Travel Plan for the Northern Beaches Health Service. It maps out a three year plan to influence staff travel behaviour towards a greater uptake of active transport modes. The actions in the plan are both realistic and challenging in their scope for the service. |
