Did you know that 1 in 4 people over the age of 65 will fall at least once during the next 12 months?

Our eyes play an important part in maintaining an independent lifestyle and reducing the risk of falling. That’s because they help us avoid obstacles and hazards in our way.

Falls are preventable. Act now!

Take simple steps to ensure poor vision doesn’t trip you up!

  • Regular eye checks (at least every two years by an optometrist)

  • If you wear bifocals use a pair of single vision glasses for walking outdoors

  • Make sure your home is well lit

  • If you get new glasses be especially careful. Your eyes need time to get used to them
  • Keep your glasses clean
