About the Network

This is the website for the Ryde and Lower North Shore School Canteen Network. The Network is for school canteen managers to gain information and updates for implementing healthy food strategies and on the general running of the canteen.

This Network now exists as a mailing list of all schools located in Ryde and Lower North Shore local government areas. The Network had quarterly meetings at schools in 2005/2006 and 2008/2009 but now members attend events they are informed about via the mailing list. Click the ‘Events’ tab above to find out more about upcoming events and/or email the Network contact to go on the mailing list.

Members are also welcome to attend the Northern Beaches School Canteen Network meetings or Hornsby-Ku-ring-gai School Canteen Network meetings. Meetings are very helpful for new canteen managers or canteen staff looking to establish support networks, learn from experienced managers or just share ideas. Click the name of the Network you would like to attend to find out about upcoming meeting dates.

Mailing list
The Network mailing list includes all NSW Government, Catholic and Independent primary and secondary schools in Ryde and Lower North Shore local government areas. To join the mailing list email Kerry McGaw.

Events
Click on the Events link at the top of the page to view any scheduled events or activities organised for network Members.

Members will receive information about events (when organised) via hard copy mail outs.
