Congratulations to the 2009 Canteen Award Recipients

 

The Northern Sydney & Central Coast Health Promotion Unit and Nutrition Departments have been arranging Canteen Network meetings and a free consultancy service for school canteens for over 10 years. Canteen supervisors are invited to attend network meetings each term. At these meetings, canteen workers are supported through the change process, updated on relevant issues, provided with product samples and opportunities to share experience and knowledge.

Regular attendees to the meetings are acknowledged with membership certificates and T-Shirts. We have lots of fun as well as gain loads of useful information. The Area Health Service also develop and distribute Nutrition News Sheets for school newsletters and other resources like menu and recipe ideas.

Central Coast Canteen Network - Primary School Database and Great Ideas Book 2008- Produced to share promotional tips, menus and other great ideas, and also to make it easy for canteen workers to contact each other. This 126 page booklet is available in hard copy only. Please contact us for a copy.
