The Measure Up for Health (MU4H) project was
conducted on the Central Coast in 2008. The goal of this project was to address the
incidence of overweight & obesity within the community
by raising awareness and encouraging physical activity & healthy
eating. The project has many similarities to the
National How Do You Measure Up project which commenced in 2009.
The MU4H was aimed specifically at workplaces and has been left here
as a resource for workplaces wanting to address healthy weight. |

“Area Health was the first of a number of workplaces on the Central Coast offering the Measure Up 4 Health kits to employees. This is a fun way to show how some easy steps can make a big difference to your health” says Doug Tutt, Area Director of Health Promotion.
The Central Coast Area Health Service distributed the Measure Up 4 Health packs to their employees at the end of June 2008. July was promoted as a Measure Up 4 Health Month and departments were encouraged to take the Workplace Physical Activity Challenge for at least one week of the month. |
